Ambassador Hotel, Saint Petersburg, Russia

Luxurious hotels started appearing in European cities as early as the 18th century, and staying in them was considered an honor even for the most demanding public. Svistunov, who took part in recreation of the interiors of the 19th century palaces that used to belong to nobility in St. Petersburg, is the author of interior design of the state- rooms of the hotel. At the Ambassador Hotel, the architect, who followed the tradition of the Academy of Fine Arts, used the Russian interior design of the 19th century as a model and gave a new interpretation of well-known classics. The state-rooms of the hotel feature a large variety of elegant lamps, vases, paintings and stucco moldings designed in the Empire style and full of fascination and charm.

There are 251 comfortable rooms at the hotel, including the rooms of the following categories: Economy, Standard, Superior, Studio, Demi-Suite, Suite, as well as the Rimsky-Korsakov and Presidential Apartments. Each room is equipped with air-conditioning, Internet access, a direct international and inter-city telephone line, interactive and satellite TV, a mini-bar and a safe.

All rooms are decorated in tranquil pastel shades with comfortable furniture upholstered in elegant fabrics and luxurious curtains.
